All steel, GRP and timber doors come in two formats, retractable and canopy. Retractable doors (see left) go all the way into the garage when opened, but require a greater clearance space to do so. Canopy doors (see right) over-hang from the garage and require less clearance space.
For extra piece of mind, we supply an additional security kit for Canopy and Retractable doors, whether factory steel framed or fitted to a timber frame.
The kit comprises steel locking bar rods and slam-shut latches fitted to the bottom of a canopy door and to the top of a retractable door to increase the number of locking points from two or four (see below left).
All garage doors are designed to offer the highest level of protection, with standard security features including a high security, multi-point latching system, solid steel locking bars and a Euro-cylinder lock.
The multi-point latching system provides extra strength through it's two points of contact which, together with the specially designed, shielded latches, affords a high degree of protection against forced entry.
Euro-cylinder locks are used because they employ an independent barrel which ensures that even if the barrel is forced, the locking system remains intact.
